Micromax Canvas Doodle 3

Micromax already had a 6 inch phablet,Canvas Xl selling for 13,000 INR or in the same segment as doodle 2. With Doodle 3, Micromax could have opted for a 6 Inch octa core MT6592 phablet priced above 15K, but Micromax has targeted the low priced dual core market, similar to the first tablet in Doodle series, with the new Doodle 3. Are the things back to where they started? Let’s take a look.

The primary camera included in Doodle 3 phablet has a 5 MP sensor similar to most other MT6572 smartphones in budget Android segment. The camera is also supported by LED flash for low light photography. The rear camera can record 720p HD videos. Front camera is equally uninteresting with a VGA sensor and will suffice for basic video calling.
The Internal storage is again standard 4 GB. You get the option to expand it further with 32 GB of microSD secondary storage. The storage is the most you can expect at this price range.

The processor used is Dual core MT6572, from MediaTek, which can be found in most other present generation dual core smartphones. Both cores are clocked at 1.3 GHz and are paired with Mali 400 GPU and 512 MB RAM. The chipset is meant for basic usage which includes basic social media apps and some light gaming.
The battery capacity is 2500 mAh. Micromax claims 260 hours of standby time and 9 hours of talk time from this device. We are not sure how long this will last while web browsing or playing videos as the massive 6 inch display is expected to heavily tax it.
